Theme: Colours of our World

Rules: 

  • Keep squares to 6 inch square

  • Keep a “tail” on your square

  • Open to everyone: Male or female; Young or Old

  • No limit on number of squares

Entries close 10th August 2026

Winners Announced on World Granny Square Day: 15th August

FAQ

Where Do I drop off my Squares?

  • Squares are to be dropped off to the Branch rooms at 40 Gibraltar Street, Bungendore. There is a plastic tub on the porch. Please place your squares in a bag with your name and contact details. Please include your age if you are entering the junior sections.

When Do I have to Submit my Squares?

  • All Squares need to have been submitted No later than Monday 10th August

Can I just give you Squares that are not for the competition?

  • Yes, Absolutely.

What Size Squares do you want?

  • Please keep them to 6 inch square or thereabouts

What will happen to the Squares?

  • Squares will be sewn into blankets by members of the Bungendore CWA and the wonderful people at Roundabout, Canberra. They will then be given to those in need.

Are there prizes and who is judging?

  • There will be an independant Judge who will select the winners. The results will be announced at an event on Saturday 15th August in Bungendore.

Do I need to sew in the ends?

  • It is preferable if you leave a “tail” as this makes is easier to sew the squares together
